News! - January 18th, 2008

5.8GHz transmitters and receivers are coming soon. We are happy to report the end of the 5.8GHz gear development. We are expecting to have the first transmitters and receiver modules in stock soon. The 5.8GHz transmitter is a "stand alone" design with built in powerhouse and capable of supplying power to the KX-131 camera directly from the transmitter. The 5.8GHz receiver comes as a module to our Standard and Advanced Receivers - allowing the customers who already own these to swap the existing 2.4GHz Rx module to a 5.8GHz Rx module - making the receiver 5.8GHz in an instant. You can power this transmitter directly from 2, 3, 4, 5 or even 6 cell battery and it will run the same. Almost no heat is generated.

News! - January 17th, 2008

Our second generation 2.4GHz transmitters are on the way. These the same as the previous generation will provide power to the Kx-131 through one cable eliminating the need of a separate power cable for the camera. These transmitters have a 1A built in powerhouse and even with the AWM633 module's power hungry operation with the Kx-131 attached and powered from the transmitter - runs very cold. Our tests show a steady 30-35 degree Celsius operation over 40-45 minutes in a 24 degree Celsius ambient temperature environment. It can be powered directly from 2, 3, 4, 5 or even 6 cell Lipo battery and it will run the same. No more egg cooking on the transmitters!

The new 12V step-up PSU is on the way. This little unit (25.4 x 12 mm or 1" x 0.475") will take the existing 5V coming from the trasmitter and step it up to 12V supplying the neccessary power for the 12V cameras. It is to be used between our transmitters and 12V cameras like the IF camera.
